On May 1, 2013, TMZ published an article entitled, 'My Fair Wedding'
Host Allegations of Sex Addiction…Prostitutes." In the exclusive
article, TMZ announced that David Tutera, the host of "My Fair Wedding"
was a hardcore sex addict, and his penchant for hookers had destroyed
his relationship with his husband according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
TMZ broke the story saying that David filed documents to end his 10-year-long
domestic partnership with longtime partner Ryan Jurica. According to TMZ,
the couple is expecting a surrogate to give birth to twins for the couple in July.
TMZ learned that two days before Tutera filed his documents in Los Angeles;
Jurica filed his own legal documents in Connecticut hoping to end their
civil union.
In the court documents, Jurica is blaming David's uncontrollable sexual
appetite for the destruction of their civil union claiming that after
repeated attempts at marriage counseling and therapy, the couple has been
unable to save their relationship due to David's sex addiction.
In the court documents, Jurica continues to claim that David has engaged
in a pattern of hiring escorts and prostitutes to support his addiction.
According to Jurica, David refuses to seek professional help for his addiction
to prostitutes.
Jurica is demanding full
custody of their unborn children; David is also requesting full custody of the
children according to the court documents filed in Los Angeles. According
to Jurica, David is the one that earns all the money in the relationship,
stating that Jurica earns in excess of $1 million a year, and Jurica says
he needs money to survive and pay for his house payment, car payment etc.
In the court documents filed by Jurica's attorney Bettina D. Hindin,
Jurica is also claiming that David is the one that broke up with him.
